Television Faults & Repairs - Out-Call Site Visits

We do out-call site visits to determine TV faults, and, if possible, we can repair these on-site for faulty LCD, LED, OLED, Plasma, and Smart TVs. Please note that we do not have a workshop facility, we visit you, our client.

 

If we determine that the fault is repairable, but it can't be done on-site, we will provide a free, no obligation, repair estimate at a very reasonable cost. The repair will be done promptly, and the returned TV's repair will be labour and parts guaranteed for three months.

The Majority Of Typical TV Repairable Faults Are Listed Below :-

• TV fails to come on, the front standby light fails to illuminate, or repeatedly flashes on and off.

• TV fails to come on, the front standby light fails to change to ‘on’ colour status.

• TV fails to come on, the front standby light blinks an error code.

• TV has sound but no picture, this is often a backlight failure.

• TV has picture but no sound.

• TV comes on as normal then switches off.

• TV clicks on and off repeatedly but fails to start.

• TV switches off and back on intermittently.

• TV picture turns negative or turns predominately green or red.

• TV picture turns white with picture barely visible and sound ok.

• There are lines or there is interference on the picture.

• There is a profusion of single colour glowing dots (often red) covering the picture on plasma televisions. 

• There is no picture or sound and no standby illumination.

• Vertical or horizontal lines appear on the picture.

 

Damaged Screen

 

In instances where the TV front panel (screen) has suffered impact damage and is cracked, it may not be cost effective to attempt to repair this damage. The front panel constitutes 75% of the cost of the TV, it may therefore be more practical to replace the TV in this instance. However, a damaged TV screen might be repairable. We can determine that on a site visit.

 

Insurance Reports

 

If your TV front panel (screen) is irreparable following accidental damage, and it is covered in your household insurance policy, we can provide your insurers with a diagnostic report for your claim. The report is paid for by the policy holder in the first instance but the cost constitutes part of the insurance settlement.

Television Wall-Mounting Service

We also offer a TV wall-mounting service at reasonable cost. The price we quote is inclusive of good quality tilt or non-tilt brackets depending on customer preference. We can install on all types of walls concealing all wires and cables. No matter the size or type, we will safely place, fix and mount your TV in a professional manner.

Television Set-Up Service

​

For the uninitiated we recognise that the latest models of televisions can be quite daunting to set up for the first time. We offer a set-up service for new TV purchases where we will install and configure your system with your existing equipment and instruct you accordingly.
